Huguette Labelle

CHAIR, INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION CONFERENCE COUNCIL

Huguette Labelle has served for a period of nineteen years as Deputy Minister of different Canadian Government departments including Secretary of State, Transport Canada, the Public Service Commission and the Canadian International Development Agency. She is a former Chancellor of the University of Ottawa, former Chair of transparency International and former Board member of the UN Global Compact. She has also served on several additional boards.

She is currently Chair of the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments, Chair of the IACC Council, Vice-Chair of the Rideau Hall Foundation Board, Vice-Chair of the International Senior Advisory Board of the International Anti-Corruption Academy, member of the Advisory Group to the OECD Secretary General on Anti-Corruption and Integrity, member of the Board of the Global Center for Pluralism, Board member of Global Financial Integrity, Board member of the Aga Khan Museum, member of the IIRC Governance and Nominations Committee and Chair of the Selection Committee for Master’s Scholarships on Sustainable Energy Development.

For nineteen years, she worked as Deputy Minister in various departments and public bodies of the Canadian administration such as the Secretary of State, Transport Canada, the Civil Service Commission and the Canadian Development Agency. Today she chairs the independent advisory committee on Senate appointments and chairs the International Council of the Anti-Corruption Conference. She is vice-president of the advisory committee of the International Anti-corruption Academy, vice-president of the board of the Rideau Hall Foundation. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Center on Global Pluralism, of the Aga Khan Museum, of Global Financial Integrity, of the OECD Secretary General’s Advisory Committee on Integrity, of the Advisory Committee of Resolve and of the Committee. governance and appointment of the IIRC. She chairs the Panel for the selection of scholarship holders in the mastery of sustainable energy development.
